This four-story rowhouse with a raised basement was built c. 1830 and retains few of its 19th century details. The current Greek Revival configuration likely dates to an 1851 alteration for Thomas Sturges. One of the most celebrated DJs and remixers of the last forty years, who transformed the NYC music, club, and LGBTQ nightlife scene in the late 20th century, had a recording and mixing studio in this building.
