A new building permit for 771-785 Broadway/63-67 East 9th Street/60-62 East 10th Street was filed in 1952. A significant 19th century Civil War photographer, who took a portrait for the ascendant presidential hopeful Abraham Lincoln, had a studio at a now-demolished building at this site.
