This six-story brick building was designed by Benjamin E. Lowe in 1889 in the Romanesque Revival style. Artist Robert Indiana had a studio here, the influential avant-garde Reuben Gallery was located here, Grove Press owner Barney Rosset lived here for decades until his death, and a prominent Book Row seller was also located at this site.
