Across from the Capitol, stately homes and office buildings housed lobbyists, law firms, lunch rooms, and taverns along with other small businesses, like Ciro Sagliocca's barber shop. Next door to the barber shop stood Harold and Gertrude Dick's home and place of business. Harold was a dentist, and Gertrude was an antique dealer. The Dicks had moved out and closed shop by the time this photograph was taken in April 1963.
