Sample Story
This sample story covers content recommendations, style basics, and features related to writing stories. Stories on Urban Archive allow creators to tell place-based stories using maps, text, and archival imagery.
On any story you create, you can see that the story is authored by Your Organization in the byline under the title, which is written in bold.
The section here is your introduction. It can include links to exhibitions, events, web-pages, or further resources that are relevant to the story.
There is a 2,000 character limit to all body-fields, including your introduction.
To edit your introduction, click Draft and then Edit. You'll need to be logged in. For more tutorials and style guides, check out this page.

This is your first stop in your story.
The letter A corresponds to the image's location on the map.
Stops in stories appear as lettered points on the map. These stops represent images that are tied to locations on Urban Archive. You can use any image on Urban Archive as a stop in your story.

This is the second stop in your story.
You can add stops by clicking on addresses with images and tapping + on the image or Add to Story +

This is the third stop in your story.
You can change the order of your stops by clicking the Arrange Stops tab above the map. You can also delete stops from this tab. Click Map to return to map view once you're done arranging.

This is the fourth stop in your story.
Your story will auto-save as your add to it. To stop editing, click the yellow Editing button and then click Done Editing.

This is the fifth stop in your story.
To publish your story, you will need to be editing. Click the yellow Editing button and then click Publish and your story will be live! You can Un-Publish or go back to editing your story at any time.

This is the sixth stop in your story.
You can add tags to the end of your story. Scroll to the bottom of your story where you’ll see a drop-down menu of tags you can add to your story.
Tags let your readers know what your stories are about and connect them to related content on Urban Archive, which can amplify your story’s reach.
You can use the tag box to select pre-existing tags or create new ones. For more information on tags, check out this tutorial.
