DeKalb Avenue Shop, 1946.
The transportation facility was originally built in the early 20th as a trolley barn for the Brooklyn City Railroad (which later became a part of the BMT system). When the three transit systems were merged in 1940, the car barns and maintenance facilities came under city control. In April 1949 the complex became a coach repair shop. Today, the area is an athletic field.
