The west side of Eighth Avenue, as it was known until 1977, underneath the Ninth Avenue El (which ran above Eighth Avenue from 110-155th Streets), 1932.

The El was discontinued in 1940, having been made redundant by new subway services in the Bronx and along the IND Eighth Avenue Line.
