Newtown - Van Duyn House - Glendale
Van Duyn House - The house was built circa 1736, and was located on the west side of Trotting Course Lane (Woodhaven Blvd.), south of Metropolitan Ave. just south of Vanderveer House near the line of current 73rd Ave. Garret Van Dine, Son of Dominicus (1757-1830) owned the farm in 1852, in 1860 Hunt owned, and the owner was Thomas Wolfert (J. Wolford) in 1873. The house was at the south end of the Old Colonial Van Duyn Farm, with the land extending south along Old Trotting Course Lane (Woodhaven Blvd.) and 88th St. to about Union Turnpike.
