Lundin's Bronx
In the middle of the 20th century, Wigorot Lundin began making prints of the New York Transit Authority's photographic negatives. Taken in the 1910s and 20s, the photographs show a city in transition, expanding with the advent of new technology. Lundin's Bronx photographs display a borough, growing and consolidating as it becomes further interwoven with transit.
Kingsbridge Armory
Subway Construction survey photograph shows Jerome Avenue prior to construction of the Kingsbridge Road Station on the Woodlawn/ Jerome Avenue Line. Taken in 1914, the Kingsbridge Armory, still under construction looms large in the frame.

Both the building at center (behind the trees) and the large boulder outcropping at right remain today. Just past the edge of the photograph on the right is where the new Yankee Stadium stands.

Anderson—Jerome Avenues Station, Ninth Avenue El
The photograph documents the sidewalk and street conditions and the empty lot of Macombs Dam Viaduct before the start of the construction as part of the maintenance and construction of the IND Concourse Line. Shows the Ninth Avenue Elevated railroad with the train pulling in the Jerome Avenue Station.
