Spy House, 1899.
Boston Road, west side, at the head of Bristow Street, showing the "Spy House", dating back to pre-Revolutionary days. It is said to have been the dwelling, during the American Revolution, of a spy, who enacted the same role as did Harvey Birch in Fenimore Cooper's story,"The Spy." The house was razed some time between 1907 and 1911 and on its site now stands a 1-story brick building.
