One of the largest private houses ever built in Manhattan this Italian palazzo, including a drive-in for automobiles, has a modest self-effacing quality, due to the uniformity of its architectural effect, which makes it possible to pass and repass it many times without realizing what it is. In this respect it represents the epitome of restrained good taste.
