Contained in this building we find, paradoxically, a complete sculptured pediment of Classic inspiration and what was probably the first all-glass curtain wall in New York. The pediment figures were executed by the sculptor J.Q.A. Ward, assisted by Paul W. Bartlett. The glass curtain wall, placed directly behind the colonnade, provides light for the great floor of the Exchange itself.
