Brooklyn houses were always designed for comfort and livability. The large third-floor porch across the rear of this house must once have afford a superb view. The simple brick columns rising from ground level are interlaced at the top by wooden Gothic arches and railings to produce one of the finest examples of the Gothic Revival remaining to us.
