Brooklyn Celebrates Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is one of America's favorite holidays and where best to celebrate it than at home in Brooklyn! This collection celebrates Turkey Day with some of our favorite Thanksgiving photos in Kings County.
Infants Home of Brooklyn
This is 3-year-old Ralph and 2-year-old Harriet. According to the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, Ralph is armed "with trusty rifle, prepared to shoot down any wandering turkey he may find in the 56th St. forest lands....regardless of what luck the young hunters have, there will be turkey for the children's Thanksgiving dinner."

A surprising job perk? Mays department store employees line up for turkeys to take home. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported that several thousand were given away on that day alone, and twelve thousand would be given to needy families on Christmas.
