Sheep Meadow
While the 1987 "Wall Street" might seem to lend itself to a more southern New York setting, the sheep meadow was the site of the climactic showdown where Charlie Sheen's Bud Fox confronts his mentor (Micheal Douglas' Gordon Gekko.)

The eponymous museum of some (but not all) of the Night at the Museum franchise, the American Museum of Natural History and denizens came alive (though much of the interior shots occurred on a soundstage in Canada)

Where else would Audrey Hepburn enjoy her coffee and bun than outside the 1940's Tiffany and Co building? While much of the movie was shot in California, the exterior and interiors of Tiffany's were captured on location.

The Carrère & Hastings' New York Public Library Main Branch has been the site of many films from "The Day After Tomorrow" to "The Adjustment Bureau", however, the opening of 1984's "Ghostbusters" is particularly memorable. The titular trio begin their careers, chasing a spirit through the building's lower level.

The Tweed Courthouse is the setting of many courtroom dramas, but one particularly memorable film set there was the bitter divorce drama Kramer vs Kramer in which the courthouse was the principal setting of the breaking apart of a family.
