Pulitzer Fountain at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street, 1916.

Carrère & Hastings won the competition to design a memorial fountain after Joseph Pulitzer's 1911 death. "Pomona," a bronze sculpture by Karl Bitter (completed by Isidore Konti after Bitter's death), sits atop the fountain at Grand Army Plaza. The statue was installed in the spring of 1916.
