City Hall Park A T Stewart's Marble Palace
(then the Sun Building) on Chambers Street with west back corner of Tweed Courthouse on right in photo background.
Apolina Stasa, my grandmother, from Moravia (now Czech Republic ) worked Downtown as a cleaning lady. Old family photo circa early 1920s probably on a Sunday before or after going to St. Peter's on Barclay Street as at that time the family was living in the South Street Seaport area either Dover St. or Peck Slip . Formerly they lived at 109 Washington Street and 66 Greenwich Street when they first came from Austria-Hungary. By 1927 they moved to Brooklyn.
