Pacific Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, May 30, 1958.

The first Carnegie Library built in Brooklyn, the Pacific Branch opened its doors on October 8, 1904. The library, deigned by Raymond Almirall, suffered structural damage from subway construction, and multiple fires, leading to its near closure in 1973. Following a preservation campaign, and the renovated branch reopened in 1975.
