The San Remo is one of the finest apartment buildings designed by Emery Roth, a noted New York architect who specialized in apartment house design, and whose work played a key role in the creation of Central Park West, one of New York’s grandest residential avenues. It is one of Manhattan’s last great luxury apartment houses built in the pre-Depression era, and was the first twin-towered residential skyscraper in New York.
