lLexington Avenue, north from East 42nd Street, showing prominently the westerly sida of the arterial thoroughfare. At the loft is the Hotel Commodore. Above samo is the lot where the Graybar Building (420 Lexington Avenue) will be erected. Next in order are,the American Express Co. office building and the old and new units of the Grand Central Palace buildings. The Hotel Barclay is beyond the latter. To the right is the five story structure that was demolished in 1928 for a site for the present Chrysler Building.
