42nd Street, and showing this thoroughfare subsequent to the demolition of the elevated line identified with same. Shortly to follow will be the old Hippodrome building. This cleared site from 43rd to 44th
Streets will be used as an auto parking lot. Stern's Department Store at the right and in the background are Rockefeller Center buildings. Subway construction is progressing
at this date.
