The exact construction date of The Old Brick House is not known, but it is believed to be between the 1790's and 1800s. It has served as the home to the mayor of Biloxi during the Civil War years, John L. Henley, and in more recent years, has been used by the city's Garden Club. The Old Brick House has survived many hurricanes, floods, and years. Despite the damage suffered, it still stands.
