The Tivoli Hotel was designed by local architect, Carl Matthes, in 1926. It became one of Biloxi's big resorts in the years that followed. It was remodeled and renamed the Tradewinds in the 1950s. The property was badly damaged in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina and later demolished.
